What a Great Place!
by Jaron Spoja from Tacoma WA
We spent two nights prior to our cruise here it was great. The rooms are very cool and updated recently (artdeco themed). Nice and clean. Eat at the strip house (second floor) it was great but a little expensive. Walk down the street for Ropa Vieja for another awesome meal. Cool rooms to chill in on the ground floor. Staff was helpful and Bell hop Cesar was awesome. We came in early and had no problem with them storing our luggage for a few hours. When we went to check out we got a 100.00 credit for booking with expedia! Paid for our bar tab. Date of visit: January 25, 2008

Nice Hotel - Nice Area
by Chanda Lusk from Jamestown, Missouri
The Hotel was being renovated during our stay. The Hotel is a nice place to stay and in a nice area. The pools and grounds were really great. We were very disappointed with the beach area. It was beautiful for dining but not for swimming. There was a small protected area for swimming but smelled like fish. The people are some of the friendliest people I have ever encountered. We were so impressed at how traffic would come to astop and the driver would motion for us to cross the street. This happened over and over again. We just loved the spirit of the people. We also enjoyed many meals at a restaurant called the Hacienda. The back windows open up right to the ocean. One night we could actually feel the ocean spray ever so lightly on our face. It was so lovely. The food was pricey in the evening hours but very cheap for breakfast. 85.00 for two for Mexican dinner with two drinks. Food and service was excellent. We loved this place. We are planning another visit in April 2008. Can't hardly wait. Date of visit: August, 2007

From Excellent to "What happened?"
by Alvin Camacho from NJ
I stood here in Oct 2005 and loved it. So I decided to stay again when I returned to PR. What a difference, it went from excellent to just average in a few months. We had reserved two rooms and requested that they were next to each other. When we arrived at 1 pm the girl at the counter tells me that the rooms are already vacated but just had to be cleaned, and that she would notify house keeping so that they could clean the rooms. She then told me that they would be ready by 3 pm. I was OK with that because I arrived 2 hours early and the check-in time was 3 pm. So we went to get something to eat. At 3 pm I went back to the counter and another girl tells me that the rooms are still not ready and that they would probably be ready by 4 pm. I told her to just give me any two rooms, because I did not want to return at 4 and be told to return at 5. So we got two different rooms. Room 1 was missing the safe key, had a bad smell as if the rug had gotten wet and not cleaned properly, and the freezer in the fridge could not be used because of the ice build up. Room 2 had, not one, but two water leaks, so they gave us another room, which also smelled of mold and was missing the refrigerator. After returning home, I contacted their customer service via email, and never heard back from them. They are currently renovating the hotel, but they can not abandon the rooms that are being used by the customers. At this point I'm debating whether to take a chance on this hotel next year or not. I don't know if I will find the one that I loved in October or the nightmare of July. Outside of the conditions of the rooms, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is expensive, but the best food for the money is at Tony Roma's. Good food and the prices are not bad. Date of visit: July 9, 2006

Good Experience
by Michelle from Chicago, Illinois USA
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we had a wonderful time, but when we first entered out room, we were a little disappointed. We stayed on the ocean side, but unfortunately that is the older part of the hotel and it wasn't as updated as we had hoped. The carpets were stained and it just looked a little run down. By the second day though, it didn't bother us, because the pools were so nice and the staff was very great. The hotel is also in a great area that seems close to everything, so our trip was wonderful. Date of visit: March, 2006

Relaxing and Romantic
by Jennifer from Raleigh, NC USA
We stayed here for five days and didn't want to leave. The hotel staff was very helpful with planning events. The view from the room was wonderful. The only down side was that the fitness center and tennis courts were in a separate building across the street which you have to go through the casino, to the crosswalk and then down an elevator to get to. If you want a tennis lesson, the tennis instructor is great! His wife is a masseuse and gives the best private massage you will ever have. Date of visit: November, 2005

Very Nice
by Lovely VJ from Manhattan, NY USA
I visited this hotel with my mom and we loved it. We visit Puerto Rico every year but we usually stay by the country side-we wanted to stay in the Condado area for at least 3 days which we did and we loved every minute. The room was spacious, clean and we had a view of the pool area which looks beautiful at night. This hotel has restaurants, casino, sushi bar, a nice small cafe area right next door which serves the best coffee in that area and you must try the pool areas Sangria which is the best in the Condado area. I can't wait to go back and visit. Date of visit: July, 2005

Never go again!
by Nicole from Union Beach, NJ
I'm not sure what was going on but the concierge knew nothing. I asked for a good American restaurant and he had no idea where to send us. We stayed on the bay side, our room was facing the street, very noisy. So were moved to the bay side much quieter. My 2 girlfriends accompanied us to Puerto Rico, and we paid the same price airfare included and they got a ocean view. Go figure! Stay at your own risk! Date of visit: April 2005

What a Time!
by Randy Weatherford from St. Charles Co, MO
We went to San Juan for a job with our company, and was it awesome. The Condado Plaza was a great place to stay. Our balcony faced Ashford St. and I spent many evenings just sitting out there and watching the street. You could also see the harbor just to the right of us. It was really fun watching the ships come and go. The only thing I didn't like was the rats that run around like dogs and cats do in the states. We spent four weeks straight there and it was awesome! Great Place to Stay!
by Arlene from Toronto, ON Canada
I stayed in this hotel in Nov. 2003 for my honeymoon and I'll never forget it. The staff were friendly and the hotel was well kept. The restaurants are clean and the food was great. No complaints really except that we wanted to go to the nightclub more nights than not but it was opened Thursday - Sunday nights. Trust me, we were there when it was open. What a lovely experience. Highly Recommended
by Annie from New York
It was a wonderful experience. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was well kept. The food was great. I just wish I could move this hotel to Ponce so I can stay there during my trip in May 2005. If it weren't for our stay at this hotel, our vacation would have been a waste as it rained during the 8 days of our stay. I highly recommend it. Date of visit: November, 2003
